Plugins messaging and push ?

There are two different plugins messaging and push ?
what are there uses cases for each ?
why do we need both ?
are the api in notification module used any where in web panel or is it for device only.

The messaging plugin is designed for centralized message transmission to a device or group of devices. For more information about the Pager plugin, see the article:
