How to send different OpenVPN config for each device?

Question

I was looking at DEVICE_NUMBER in the filename but I don't think that works. How do I send the device specific .opvn file for all devices within a Headwind Configuration?

Also, how do I remotely/auto enter the OpenVPN login credentials?

Headwind MDM can receive and display up to 3 custom parameters from the device. See details how to configure these parameters in the web panel here:

There is an OpenVPN plugin for Headwind MDM, which is remotely managed and can be setup as always-on:

To create unique .ovpn files for each device, use custom variables (CUSTOM1, CUSTOM2, CUSTOM3)

The OpenVPN plugin available in Premium and Enterprise only.

I have seen these posts but my question is how do I use the CUSTOM1,2,3 variables? In the filename? In the path? It isn't clear to me.

Can you give me a clear example please. Thank you.
