We use the three button navigation, as we need the functionality of the third (Recents) button to release application memory.

But with the current settings this displays a black window requiring admin permissions, which we don't want to give.

How do we go about here?

Can you please clarify your inquiry? Looks like you have a custom device, because Android has three buttons: Back, Home and Recents. Which third button are you talking about?
Thank you!

I don't think it is custom device.

We have triangle, circle, and square. Triangle and circle work without issues. It is the square that prompts for administrator rights.

On some device models, clicking the Recents (square) button calls the system launcher which is disabled by default.

You need to read the package ID on the blocking screen and enable it in the Headwind MDM web panel. See how to here: https://qa.h-mdm.com/1175/
