Enable status bar icons but deactivate status bar

Question

How can I enable icons on notification bar without the bar actually being active?

I would like to do the following: view the battery indicator, view the clock, view icons when an incoming message has arrived

I would also like the taskbar to be unable to be expanded.

Is this possible?

It is possible on Android 9 and above, in kiosk mode.

Turn on Kiosk mode (here's how to: https://qa.h-mdm.com/1043/)

When setting up kiosk mode, set the following checkboxes:

• Enable Home button (sometimes other checkboxes are not working if disabled)
• Enable notifications
• Enable status bar info

If you need to run the Headwind MDM launcher, set it as the "content app" (the package ID is com.hmdm.launcher).

This should resolve your task.
